Jonjoloka - traditional coastal Lamu style influences in the design and an obvious love for boats, including the use of drift wood along the free standing stairway all create a stunning picture.
This 3 storey villa creates the impression of 19th Century Kenya with a touch of western influence. The house has 3 bedrooms, which are all en suite. There are 2 double bedrooms and a twin bedroom, all fully furnished. In addition, there is an expansive veranda in front of the free form pool with 2 additional beds including mosquito netting and fans ideal for a siesta during the daytime. 2 local Giriama beds are set up under the makuti roof on the top floor for extra for the plus 2. Bedding and mosquito nets are provided for these beds.
Terraces can be found on the 1st floor and the roof top for those relaxing evenings.
There is a barbecue area near the pool and the dining table is on the veranda. The house is staffed with a manservant, gardener and askari (night watchman). Arrangements can be made for a cook at an additional fee.
Jonjoloka can sleep a maximum of 8 people and is available on a self-catering basis.
