The Neighborhood is very cool and has many businesses and foreign businessmen staying. Also it enjoys the quietness at nights of the old Hanoi and not too overly commercial so it might not be for everyone.
Our house is located less than 5km away from the Old Quarter of Hanoi, next door to Somerset Hotel thus enjoys services that are offered. Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (Arts Museum) is at 10 minutes walking, same as Nghia Do Park. Our area, known for being a popular site for businessmen and wealthy locals to reside with shops, dinning options, cafes and lifestyle options. From my house within 3 minutes walk is the wet market, of which the busiest is from 5am-6am early morning.
In the middle of all business districts of Hanoi, to the North you have Ciputra and UNIS school; the Foreign Diplomatic City for diplomats and embassies. To the West are Vincom Plaza, and My Dinh National Stadium. To South is Indochina Plaza for completed an amazing shopping experience and Cinema, and Keangnam Landmark Tower the tallest building in Vietnam and Korean Town. To East is West Lake, Lotte Center Tower, Hanoi Zoo, and Old City.
