Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is located on a hill side bordering Lake Nakuru with expansive views of the lake in the heart of Lake Nakuru National Park in the Rift Valley Province of Kenya. The lodge is 160 km from Nairobi, a two-hour drive on good tarmac road or 30 minutes by private charter to the park airstrip.
The lodge incorporates natural landscaping with tall acacia trees, winding walkways and greens dotted with bird feeds. The lodge is a natural haven for birdlife and attracts over 50 species of birds amongst the 400 species that inhabit the park.
Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge has 67 luxury chalets, divided into 64 standard rooms and three suites. Each chalet offers private patios with panoramic views of the flamingo pink rimmed Lake Nakuru, en-suite bathrooms with permanent showers and WC, running hot and cold water, razor outlets with 220 and 240 volts beds with mosquito nets, hair dryer and tea and coffee making facilities. Most rooms and sitting areas afford stunning views of the lake and the park.
All meals are served “alfresco” at the Flamingo Restaurant that offers spectacular views of the lush grounds, the tranquil swimming pool and the breathtaking views of the lake. The restaurant is fitted with elaborate buffet counters unmatched in all lodges and live cooking stations all set to tempt and please your palate.
Special request dinners can be arranged at various outdoor locations at the lodge including the poolside, or the honeymooners corner where guests can enjoy an intimate dinner or private party.
The Rift Valley Bar opens out into an amphitheatre where traditional dance performances are held each evening. The bar offers spectacular views of sunset over the lake and hills beyond, an ideal place to unwind with a sundowner.
