Electricity and water are all solar. Please do not use hairdryers, kettles, toaster or microwave ovens as they will destroy the batteries.
The gas is in the cupboard under the stove. Please turn off when you leave.
If the gas runs out please ask Henry to organise more. There is a small fridge in the kitchen and a freezer in the cellar where you can store food and cool drinks.
If you have any trouble please ask Henry the farm manager for help. He can take the boda boda to town to buy you essential items if you run out (for a small fee).
We live in a very remote place so you will be amazed at the night sky as we have very little light pollution.
Make sure you take advantage of the games lawn. We have a Croquet set, Badminton, Kubb, Boule (Petanque) plus lots of balls and rackets.
There are several bicycles in the Go-down store which guest may borrow (at your own risk) if you would like to explore the neighbourhood. Alternatively take a stroll through the forest on left down to the river.
Malaria is bad on the River Nile. Make sure you sleep under the mosquito nets provided. Maya the cat is the resident pest controller who is very effective but may bring you the odd present (lizards and mice)! This is a thatch house in the country-side so we do have a few creepy crawlies.
