Oldarpoi Mara Camp is a safari camp just outside the Sekenani gate in Masai Mara Game reserve. The camp is an eco-friendly aiming at changing the lives of the locals by making them self-reliant and self sustaining. The local community are part of an initiative that aims to change the economic and social lives by encouraging education, improved health care and eco-friendly activities. The camp is built with all the comfort of home and offers fully catered tents or campsites. Each tent is furnished with two single beds with linen, mosquito nets and an en-suite bathroom with a solar-heated shower. Guests can relax around the bonfire, and charging facilities are available in the dining area.
Your meals are served at the dining area and a back-up generator supplies lights and refrigeration. Security is provided by Maasai warriors in and around the camp.
Oldarpoi Mara Community Camp also offers various activities such as balloon safaris with a champagne breakfast on landing and a game drive en-route to the camp. Guests can go on nature walks with a trained Maasai tracker or visit a Maasai village or homestead and learn about the Maasai culture and way of life.
