There are 5 bedrooms, sleeping 10 people (4 bathrooms, 2 en-suite). It has a large lounge with a fireplace and a big well equipped kitchen with both microwave and stove. Two bedrooms have double beds while the other three have twin-beds/King-size double beds.
The Homestead is the original Victorian farmhouse, built in 1892, under oak trees, alongside a dam and overlooking the vineyards. It is the ideal family holiday venue and is very close to the wedding and conference venue, Leipzig Country House.
There are a number of resident barn owls in the shed next door and the babies can be seen and heard at certain times of the year. Swallows return every summer to their “home” on the patio. Weavers also love the oak trees at the reservoir for their nests.
Enjoy bird watching, walking or jogging on the farm, cycling or mountain biking, hiking, canoeing, fishing and river boat cruises amidst spectacular scenery. Opportunities abound for spending time tasting award-winning wines & olives at nearby wine cellars and olive estates or eating out at the surrounding restaurants close by.
