Richard ’s Camp is situated in a conservation area in the north west of Masai Mara National Reserve. It's is a traditional tented camp in true African safari style with a few modern surprises. The camp overlooks the open plains so characteristic of the Mara, and many species of wildlife visit the camp regularly.
With just eight tents, Richard 's Camp is both secluded and intimate, with spacious tents furnished in comfortable safari style. Each tent has 24-hour solar lighting and en-suite bathrooms with flushing loos and hot safari showers.
An open Victorian bath surrounded by flickering candles and the sounds of the bush is the perfect indulgence after a day on game drives. Each individually decorated tent has either twin or double beds with extra beds available for families.
In the evenings, you might dine in the bush alongside the hippo pools and then head back to the camp on a night game drive with the chance to spot the elusive zorilla, honey badger or genet cat.
Soft drinks, beer, house wines and non-luxury spirits are included in the room rates. Champagne, special wines and luxury spirits are additional. cocktails around the open camp fire precede a delicious three course meal under a canopy of stars.
