Amani Mara is a small boutique lodge located in the pristine Olare Orok area in the greater Masai Mara, 5km from the park. The lodge has the best location providing an advantage during the migration season. Guests can enjoy mini crossings from the luxury of their rooms which overlook the Ntiak Ntiak River.
The Swahili word "Amani" originates from Arabic, meaning peace, desires, wishes, aspirations. This carefully chosen name reflects our desire to provide the perfect holiday experience for our guests.
It also reflects our aspiration to be an environmentally conscious safari camp that provides you with all the luxuries you require with minimal impact on the environment around us.
The safari lodge features designs from African culture, art and design. These can be seen through the cozy lounge with an amazing fire place, the dining area that overlooks the beautiful plains, to the swimming pool carved into a cliff.
Set upon one of the most beautifully located sites, Amani Mara boasts nine very beautifully designed rooms, built partially in stone, canvas and hessian, a unique and eco-friendly construction. King sized beds made from olive wood feature in all rooms.
Two land rovers are available for game drives with certified local maasai safari guides.
All rooms are en suite with a well-appointed toilet, hot water shower, twin wash basins, bathtub and dressing area. Five of the rooms feature an outside bathtub with lovely views of the plains beyond, great for a warm romantic evening, while the other four, though located inside the rooms, still offer the panoramic views of the African bush.
Hot water for shower available 24 hours a day.
Dining at Amani Mara is exquisite. The dining area offers breathtaking views of the African plains, where guests will easily be able to spot a number of different animals.
The lodge chefs use the freshest local produce to prepare a blend of both local and international mouth watering cuisine, catering for both vegetarians and no
