Situated on a pretty little farm in the West Coast region, halfway between Piketberg and Velddrif, about 180km north of Cape Town. This cottage is nestled in the beautiful valley of Kapteinskloof and is one of the oldest original Homesteads of this area.
Accommodation is in an original Sandveld cottage with the charm and character of the olden days. Furniture is kept simple and uncluttered so as not to distract from the vernacular architecture of the walls and windows. The smell of thatch as you walk in completes the earthy feel.
The cottage is self-catering and sleeps 2 - 6 people. It is rented out as one unit to ensure the privacy of guests. There are 3 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen features an old Dover stove for cosy winter days, as well as a fridge, microwave and hot plate stove. All cutlery, crockery, towels and linen as well as firewood are provided. There is no TV or radio in the rooms and no cell phone reception.
