Kimana Camp is a small tented camp, situated on the banks of Sekenani river, 2km from Sekenani gate within the Masai Mara National Reserve. Kimana is within a small, cool and serene environment surrounded by woodland, it is one of Masai Mara’s best kept secret.
The camp has simple but magnificently furnished tents. All tents have en suite hot water showers and flush toilets facilities. The tents are in secluded positions and are linked by raised brick and timber walkways amongst ancient Jackal Berry trees. The tents come in singles and doubles and can take up to three people each. Accommodation is on full-board or self catering basis.
The camp also boasts of a campsite for the camping lovers away from the main tents. Clients can come with their own tents or use those within the camp. The campsite has its own dining, kitchen and shared toilet and bathrooms with hot water.
With a resident chef and fully equipped kitchen, Kimana guarantees magnificent cuisine freshly prepared to your satisfaction, and offers a menu as extensive as the African wilderness. Private dining is a romantic alternative, and bush picnics can also be arranged.
The camp does not recommend the tap water at the camp as safe to drink, although complimentary bottled water is placed in your room. Special dietary requirements are catered for, so please inform staff in advance if necessary. One may carry their own alcohol & beverages though the camp has its own fully stocked bar.
