Tawi Lodge is ideally located in a private conservancy, bordering Amboseli National Park and facing Kilimanjaro. Eco-friendly, it is perfectly integrated in its environment and the surrounding community. We are proud to have received a silver eco rating from the prestigious Eco tourism organization.
The lodge consists of 13 cottages ideally located on bush land facing Kilimanjaro. Each cottage has its own wooden-deck veranda and a fabulous view of the highest mountain in Africa, even from the comfort of your bedroom.
All cottages have en suite bathrooms fitted with both a bath and a shower. Each cottage has its own fire place and a mini bar for those very special sundowners. Lighting and water systems are 90% solar powered. A charging facility for cell phones and camera batteries is available.
The bar and dining area in the main house is the central point of Tawi Lodge. The attention to detail and the excellent friendly service is particularly noticed while dining.
Fine cuisine from a European trained chef is prepared with some selected products grown in the wetlands of Amboseli irrigated by water from the Kilimanjaro.
Before and after dinner, relax by the campfire, or at the lodge's very special bush bar, and listen to the magical sounds of the African bush.
At Tawi Lodge, when not on game drives, you can also enjoy the bio swimming pool and/or a professional masseuse. Game drives are carried in open 4x4 vehicles, also night game drives and bird watching are some of the activities offered at the lodge.
Should you prefer, we can also arrange a visit to the local Maasai village or the school we support. The Maasai will be happy to show you around.
