The House sits directly on a long private white sand beach with bathing area (no public access); the beach is right in front of the property and is exceptionally quiet. A huge 1888 cast-iron gate opens onto manicured tropical gardens, filled with flowers, palm trees and hundred-year-old flame trees.
The view from the beautiful terrace overlooking the Indian Ocean is spectacular. From there you can watch the sun rise to your right and set to your left above the Northern Islets of Mauritius.
This Colonial house is the very last authentic colonial property still standing on the Northern coast of Mauritius. It has remained in the same family ever since it was built, and has been faithfully restored together with its original antique furniture in 2011.
The long private white sand beach stretches for miles just below the slate pool and deck. Thanks to the thatched roofs and high ceilings, the broad rooms of The House are cool at all times.
An outstanding chef will prepare superb lunch and dinner unless guests wish to have their meals outside the villa. A maid is in charge of the bedrooms and bathrooms in the morning from 8 to 12.
A gardener takes care of the property everyday from 6h30 in the morning. 24/7 Watchmen is on the door. Extra: great massage, beauty treatments, yoga sessions with a licensed French lady, traditional boat shuffle to Grand Baie.
