The villa is located in the midst of the La Passe forest, just below Belle Vu, (Eagles's Nest Mountain), the island's tallest peak. Interestingly, Tannette's Villa is just a stone throw away from the Verve Reserve, the territory of the rare Black Paradise Flycatcher. There are thought to be only 100 or so of these birds in existence, which inhabit the leafy forest canopy surrounding the villa. Frequently you will see these birds perched amongst the bodanmyen and takamaka trees, or you may be serenaded by their piping whistle in Tannette's garden.
Tannette’s Villa is both a bed and breakfast and self-catering establishment. Meals are gladly provided upon request. Tantalizing delicacies are prepared for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with fresh ingredients procured from local gardens, free-range farms, and the azure waters of the Indian Ocean. You may enjoy the local catch of the day, in a rich sauce of coconut cream, Creole chicken curry spiced with an exotic harmony of traditional spices, or your choice of shell fish fresh from the sea.
A typical breakfast menu may include fluffy potato pancakes, freshly squeezed passion and mango juice, and French butter croissants with lashing of homemade jam. Whatever suits your pallet, you will be hard pushed to find better cuisine anywhere on the island.
