Villa Kordia is located at Pointe aux Sel on the south-eastern coast of the main island of Mahe, a stone’s throw away from the Fairyland beach and only 5 minutes’ drive from the main Anse Royale beach. There are several restaurants nearby as well as easy access to bus stop, banks, ATM, souvenir shops, craft village and hospital.
Well stocked shops within walking distance, guests have the option of home-cooked meals (self-cater) or alternatively dine at a selection of nearby restaurants. Villa Kordia offers a tranquil holiday experience in a village environment.
The gardens of Villa Kordia are landscaped around huge granite boulders typical of the scenery of Seychelles’ central islands. These boulders and extensive lawns, and also a small stream, provide a background for a variety of trees, both useful and decorative.
Mango, golden apple, banana, papaya, breadfruit, star fruit, avocado and guava provide rich periodic harvests while coconuts are available throughout the year. In addition to coconuts different kinds of palms have been planted, including bottle palms, originally from Mauritius where they are now exceedingly rare and in danger of extinction.
The gardens also support the beautifully scented frangipani, a hedge dripping with bougainvillea flowers, and the trees providing a show of scarlet Cordia flowers, from which the Villa takes its name. This patchwork of trees and lawns attracts a variety of Seychelles’ birds.
