Sijaria Fishing Camp is situated on the southern shores of Lake Kariba about 20 kms east of Binga. It is a convenient and comfortable location for visitors to Victoria Falls to experience a few days' tiger fishing on the lake, and for 4x4 self-drivers to stopover along the long southern route linking Victoria Falls with Kariba town.
There is an elegant dining-bar area, lake shore braai (barbeque) , fire pit and a pool overlooking the lake to cool off in the heat of the day, after battling with the famous tigerfish. Visitors can choose between self-catering or full board accommodation. Camping facilities are available and boats may be hired for fishing or game viewing.
Access is by air charter to a nearby airstrip, or in a 4x4 vehicle. The access road to Sijarira branches off from the "main" Hwange-Karoi gravel road about about halfway between the Binga and Chizarira turnoffs (Locstat South: 17 37 28; East: 27 36 19), and reaches the lake after a distance of approximately 25 kms.
