Our wilderness, eco friendly lodge is comfortably rustic in its simplicity, underscoring our desire to leave a minimal human footprint in this pristine area.
The camp can accommodate only 12 guests – keeping your experience intimate. There are six thatched open bungalows at Kisampa, each with a huge hand-crafted double bed, a relaxing hammock and a little desk to sit and read and write from as you look out over the stunning vistas below.
Each bungalow has its own private and unique bathroom set into the surrounding bush and is open to the stars. A bush shower hangs from a tree branch and hot water is delivered for showering at your request. Here there is also a waterless composting toilet with quite possibly the best views you can get in Africa! The rooms and paths are lit up using solar lamps.
Kisampa is quite literally a bush playground for children! For this reason we greatly encourage families to come here to experience Africa. Accommodation for children is flexible – either with their parents or in separate nearby star-gazer tents depending on the child’s age. Since this is a private conservation area we are free to take bush walks, have sundowners on stunning ridges, set up the dinner table in several unique areas and so much more…. Children of all ages are welcome here – so much so that 3 children under 12 stay for free in any family! But please be aware that all children have to me supervised by an adult as we do not provide child care.
