Located in Westlands, this guesthouse is amongst many trees, thus the name Miti Mingi in Swahili. The guesthouse provides an ideal setting for a comfortable stay as it offers maximum privacy. It is perfect for any traveller who would like a “homestay” rather than a “hotel guest” experience in Nairobi. Miti Mingi Guest House is for those who wish to enjoy peace and tranquillity in a green haven, and still be close to Nairobi to experience its lively international art, music and entertainment scene.
Miti Mingi enjoys excellent security and is within a short walking distance from swimming pools, gyms and various restaurants. Reliable taxi drivers provide airport pick-ups and drop guests on request, as well as offer transport to other destinations within Nairobi.
Miti Mingi is situated on the same plot as the owner’s house. Because of the many trees and shrubs the guests’ sense of privacy will prevail, whilst at the same time enjoying the idea of “being a resident” rather than a hotel guest. Guests can work in their rooms, on the couch, in the living room or on the veranda, as wireless broadband internet is provided.
The guesthouse offers a choice of four ensuite bedrooms – three doubles and one single. Shade and Sun rooms can have either twin or double beds. The Sky room has a double bed. Rooms are equipped with mattresses, satellite TV, adequate reading lights, large desks, office chairs, battery-charged back-up lights, mosquito nets and electronic safes. Bathrooms are fully tiled and have pressured and solar-heated showers with back-up booster. There is a silent power backup.
This facility serves sumptuous and varied breakfast ‘al fresco’ (served outside) – the average temperature of 22 degrees C allows for this almost year round. Guests who want to cook other meals may use the fully equipped kitchen. Great restaurants are in close proximity.
