In the African Room at Jambo Guest House you can almost taste Africa. The queen size bed is equipped with an electric blanket with switches on both sides. It is covered with a quilted overthrow featuring the Big Five African design. Behind the bed hangs a large Wall Hanging featuring a zebra design.
Above the bed is a rustic Railway Sleeper. A Davenport is tucked into an alcove – a lovely place to sit and write your postcards. The tall sash window, which has a blind matching the overthrow on the bed, overlooks the Breakfast Courtyard.
The large wardrobe also holds your suitcases so they do not clutter your room. Under the window is a hand made Macrame Table, made by Mina, as well as a large chair with zebra motif cushion. The African carved chair has a fascinating story which Mina and Barry will tell anyone who wishes to hear it.
Sheep skin rugs on the Oregon Pine strip floor are in keeping with the African design. All the wood in this room is somewhat darker. Hand crafted Kiatt bathroom doors lead into the en-suite bathroom. Bushmen Paintings designs are sandblasted into the glass panels. A glass brick panel built into the outside wall creates a soft glow of natural light. Walls and floor are fully tiled and the bath has an excellent overhead shower.
