Inn on Rupurara is located on its own private estate 10km from Juliasdale and is an easy three hour drive from Harare on good tar roads - the last 3km is on a dirt strip road.
Accommodation is in luxuriously furnished, beautifully constructed wood and stone lodges with a Cape country theme which either overlook the dam (Water View) or give a panoramic elevated view out over the Rupurara Estate (Valley View). Lodges 1 through 6 are single standing units, whilst Lodges 7 through 17 are semidetached – perfect for families with children, having a twin bedded room adjacent to a double-bedded room. Cots and mattresses are available for guests who wish to have children in their room a maximum of 1 extra mattress is recommended.
Each lodge has en-suite bathroom with shower, as well as its own private veranda. Game is often spotted from the balconies of the Valley View Lodges. Each lodge is equipped with coffee makers, hairdryers and heaters in the bedroom and bathroom.
Waterfalls Lodge or Lodge 18 is a family room or small conference facility, this comprises a stand-alone lodge consisting of a large lounge area with one twin and double en suite bedroom at each end. A broad veranda stretches the full length of the lodge with all three rooms opening out onto it; the view down the valley is unsurpassed. The lounge is large enough to accommodate conferences of up to 18 delegates.
The main lodge offers two lounges – a main lounge and a cosy attic lounge, both with fireplaces. In the Attic lounge there is a mini library with a varied selection of literature and a number of board games including a novel glass piece chess set.
Trevor’s wine bar offers a selection of local and imported wines and liqueurs. The dining room can seat a maximum of 40 people in one sitting.
