From Peniel guest house, one easily gains access to a truly remarkable Lake Nakuru national park with international fame as an animal sanctuary. The park just 15 minutes drive from Peniel guest house teems with Flamingoes, a Black and White Rhinos population of 53 live in this 188 sq. km fully electrically fenced park and they are carefully protected. The Rothschild Giraffe, Buffalos, leopards, wild dogs, Zebras, Elands, Water bucks and and the territorial lion add to the uniqueness of Nakuru.
At Lake Nakuru National Park visitors easily forgets the hustles and bustles of the city. The Acacia and Euphorbia Forest are havens for the animals during the heat of the day. Cormorant corner is aptly named as the pelican point. The Hippo pool at the Baharini springs is a favourite spot for picnics.
