We spent a total 2 nights here. We were travelling on a small budget that's why we stayed in their dormitory, which was okay. The room is large and has 13 beds with mosquito nets and is also equipped with fans. Their breakfast was good.

We stayed here for 2 nights upon first arriving in Zanzibar. The guest house is very basic and perfect for backpackers looking to meet other travelers. The rooms are a little dusty and the furniture is quite dated and has a musty smell. Essentially the price is right if you're looking for budget accommodation. The bathrooms are clean and the staff are all very friendly. If you're looking for a great priced accommodation in the heart of Stone Town, I'd recommend this place. The breakfast is a little on the greasy side but the shaded garden area is a good place to relax, have a drink, and meet other travelers throughout the day. Note that the WIFI works pretty well too which is a big plus.

For budget backpacking this place is probably just what you want. The shared bathrooms are cleaned regularly, but could use an update. The rooms are basic but good value for money. The breakfast is simple, fruit, omelette, tea. There is an outdoor seating area which lends itself to meeting other travellers. Being central it's not a long walk to any of the attractions in Stone Town. Visit Forodhani Gardens on the waterfront which comes alive at night with countless seafood skewer vendors cooking everything from tuna to shellfish, mussels, and octopus. The streets feel safe and you walk everywhere. Maybe the money you save on your accommodation here should be spent at The Emerson Hotel which does delicious meals using local seafood and locally sourced spices, really quite something!
