Guests will be given breakfast. Lunch and Dinner can be made on request. Sabina cooks a variety of Kenyan-style meals. Kenyan fare may include ugali (a maize-based thick porridge) and beef stew, chapati (a fried flat bread) with ndengu (green lentils), or pilau (a rice dish mixed with coastal spices and meat). Vegetarians can easily be catered to.
I can also assist in orienting visitors to the local transportation system, help them get a phone, and give out other general/cultural knowledge. Guests will have the opportunity to experience the Nairobi that most tourists never see. Come for a night, a week, or even a month!
Our guesthouse is located in middle-class neighborhood on the edge of Kibera. Olympic Estate is a colorful location where visitors can get a feel for Nairobi life and is conveniently located near to the shopping districts of Ngong Road, Kilimani and Hurlingham. It is a good jumping off point for guests interested in exploring the world of community development in Kibera or nearby areas as well as visitors who just want to see a different side of Nairobi.
