L'Auberge d'Antan serves traditional, old-style French cuisine. Specialities from the Berry region: poulet en barbouille (a type of chicken stew), thickly cut beef steak with Chavignol goat cheese, éclaté d'andouillette (sliced chitterling sausage) in Sancerre white wine, and tarte berriaude (apple tart flambéed in Calvados with cinnamon cream). Capacity: 40 covers. Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Closed on Mondays.
L'Auberge d'Antan has 2 upstairs double bedrooms and one triple bedroom offering superb views over the island's lush landscape. Possibility of a free child's cot. Breakfasts can be served and laundry washed on-site.
