Amajambere Iwacu Community Camp (AICC) was started in 1993 by community members who once lived in what is Mgahinga Gorilla National Park (MGNP) today. It is located at the main gate to MGNP and is built in eco-friendly way using local materials at large.
The camp offers banda accommodation that include selfcontained, double, twin and a small dormitory as well as a large space for camping either with your own tent or AICC tent. It had a dinning place which includes a fire place for chilly evenings. The veranda at dinning house has a spectacular view of volcanoes and Lake Mutanda.
There is a local handcraft shop at the place and other attractions include Mountain gorillas, golden monkeys, volcanoes, birds which include Rwenzori Turaco, and welcoming people with unique cultures including that of "Batwa" or Pygmy people.
It is a place worth to visit!!
