The house was built in the 1920s and is situated at Homa Lime in Koru about 1 hour's drive East of Kisumu. Whichever route you take, you are strongly advised to approach Koru via the B1 from just South of Kericho. Walk or drive around the 3,000 acre estate at your leisure and enjoy the superb bird watching opportunities, walking and fishing on small dams for tilapia, catfish or bass. There is a guide available who will take you to the Waterfall, Sticky Dam, the Booze Cruise or the Arboretum.
Centrally located for golfers, the house is within one hour’s drive of three very different nine-hole courses in Kisumu, Kericho and Nandi Hills. Within a day’s outing are the Kakamega Forest, renowned for it’s rain forest type flora and fauna.
There is a heated swimming pool at Greenhills and two excellent clay tennis courts as well as a full size snooker pool. Horse riding is also available, with some wonderful hacks around the estate, and also a cross-country course for more experienced riders.
The house accommodates 12 people in 6 twin rooms with extra beds available for small children and an infant’s cot. The house has a large sitting and dining area plus verandah. The staff do all cooking and cleaning for guests.
Enjoy home grown, home cooked traditional Farmhouse cooking. The house has it’s own kitchen where the staff will be prepare your meals or picnics if you would like to eat out on the farm or elsewhere. If you prefer to cater for yourself you may bring your own food or obtain farm produce from the house.
