Located on Marine Park Road, Malindi, this is a large, airy house which will comfortably accommodate up to 10 people.
The house is fully furnished and equipped and has two resident staff, one of whom is an excellent cook, and the house is well known by local fishermen, who will often bring their day’s catch straight to the door. All the bedrooms and living areas have ceiling fans, and the house looks on to a pretty garden with magnificent Baobab trees and a large, attractive swimming pool.
The house is a two minute walk from Silversands beach, and five minutes walk from Casuarina beach and the marine park at Casuarina Point
Malindi town is a busy, friendly place; the shopping is good and there are several excellent restaurants and sites of historical interest.
Tebeldi House is approximately 10 minutes drive from the town, and 15 minutes drive from the airport.
The kitchen is fully equipped, with a beer/soda cooler, upright fridge freezer, and a chest freezer, so feel free to stock up on fish to take back home. Francis is an excellent cook; he has a wide repertoire of fish and shellfish dishes, as well as making good pasta and roasts. The huge upstairs room has a double bed and 2 singles - perfect for a family, or to laze about in during the heat of the day. There is also a small private verandah off the upstairs room. John helps in the kitchen and house, and looks after the swimming pool. There is also a spare staff quarter, so accommodation can be provided for an ayah etc. The Marine Park at Casuarina park is a 5-10 minute walk up the road - the snorkelling in the coral gardens is excellent, and well worth doing when the weather and tides are right. Deep sea fishing can also be arranged from Kingfisher safaris and Malindi Fishing Club, both situated on the sea front near Malindi old town. The Malindi snake farm is within walking distance; horses can be hired from the snake farm for beach rides. Other suggested activities: Malindi museum, shopping in the old town,
