The owners hired Italian architect Claudio Modola to renovate their house. The result is a 4,800-square-foot oceanfront luxury retreat with healthy doses of charm and decadent elegance.
We are located on Lamu Island in Shella, we are a 2-minute walk from our front door to the spectacular creek, separating Lamu Island from the main land which is just a short 10 minute boat ride, and about a 5 minute walk where the creek meets the warm tropical Indian Ocean.
Shella is a very small little town however with decades of history behind it, there is always a breathe taking feature just around every corner.
Shella is small, so we have no cars instead donkeys! if you dare to ride one however it is great fun to go donkey riding as the sun falls deep beneath the sky.
Sun set or sun rise is a view like no other, the deep red skies and beyond magnificent.
There are local restaurants around which have exquisite culture tastes they will leave your palate with an unforgettable taste!
Shella has wonderful little shops with beautiful clothing and all sorts of accessories so you can walk away with unique features of lamu!
The 6 bedroom, 4 level, oceanfront home sleeps 8-12 guests comfortably. All rooms are ensuite and equipped with AC.

Enhancing its privacy and views, the large pool was fitted into a portion of the lot that’s 30 feet above the activity of the adjacent beach.
The rental includes full service staff to take care of your shopping, cooking, cleaning and laundry. Depending on the season, all sorts of fresh fruits, vegetables, fresh fish, lobster, crab, prawns and oysters can be ordered and brought to the door.
