The lodge is perfectly situated in the naturally beautiful surroundings of Nakuru, Kenya. The lodge offers a luxurious place to stay far enough away from the “busyness of the orphanage” in a very neat, traditionally built lodge situated on the edge of a pond where trees are in abundance as well as the bird life.
During the beautiful mornings and evenings, you can walk through the African Acacia trees to your makuti thatched dining room that overhangs a large pond containing three million litres of water.
Accommodation include five double units, three twin units and one family unit all containing spacious en-suites. Each individual room is made from local stone, canvas and makuti roofing (folded palm leaves) with its beautifully and uniquely hand crafted cedar furniture made on site by Kenyans living in and around Nakuru town.
Each room has its own private veranda where you may enjoy a hot drink overlooking the grounds’ magnificent wheat field with a spectacular distant view of Nakuru town.
You can enjoy a comfortable bed placed in the centre of a striking cedar floor, underneath the stunningly hung canvas, draped over the elegant white walls tastefully decorated with traditional carvings. A hot shower can be enjoyed amongst the rock walls within the luxuriously spaced bathroom.
The dining offers a comfortable seating area where you may sip on a cool drink alongside the upper level of fine dining where you may place your order from a carefully prepared menu tailored to suit all tastes. The dining also offers you an outdoor dining experience where you may relax on the veranda which is perfectly positioned on the edge of the pond hanging over the magnificent waters.
