Junior Software Engineer

SleepOut.com is seeking a talented and highly proficient junior software engineer to join our fast-paced product design team. In addition to being a whiz in HTML/CSS/Javascript/AJAX you will also be familiar with architectural patterns and high-scale web applications.

The ideal candidate is an experienced PHP developer who is accomplished working within framework environments. You will be using Kohana but your discipline and flexibility are your strengths, not your preferred framework.

Responsibilities

  • Keep up in a fast-paced development environment.

  • Build the tools that allow for rapid prototyping and implementation of user-facing features.

  • Assist Senior Software Engineers in meeting deadlines by stepping in where most needed.

  • Identify your roles in the development of SleepOut 2.0.

Skills

  • Strong PHP, Ruby or Python background.

Sales will be commission-based with great incentives.

Travel Consultant

The Position

You are happy to spend most of your time on the road and in addition to having a great eye for photography you enjoy visiting new places, possess a strong understanding of the hospitality industry and a flexible schedule.

Your work will take you on the road visiting new accommodation hosts to photograph their unique SleepOuts. You will provide hosts with an introduction to our user-friendly booking platform and answer any outstanding questions they may have.
