We are a family of foodies and from a very long line, so if like us eating gives you pleasure, you should enjoy the fresh fish such as red snapper, crab and lobster, all served with locally-grown vegetables and salads and prepared by our chef Kanchora. All our bread is freshly baked every morning in a clay oven. Meals are silver service with a starter, main course and a pudding. We can also accommodate special diets as well as cater for vegetarians, or carnivores.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea are all included in the room rate. There is a selection of wines from South Africa, Chile and Italy. Ask Alex or Tom to mix a Dawa or a Naughty Tom which should guarantee a good night’s sleep.

The swimming is excellent, both in the Indian Ocean and in the calm waters of the channel that separates Lamu from the mainland. For the more energetic there is a big choice of activities including a guided tour of historic Lamu Town, excellent snorkelling, the chance to swim with dolphins in the winter months and cycle rides to friendly African villages on the mainland.
