Quiet respect of the environment
All guests are requested to show respect for other guests and neighbours - this is a small island community, with a quiet pace of life based on the above principles. Enjoy, relax, but accept you are in a different culture - so no loud parties please.
No additional guests without consent in advan
To save embarassment on all fronts, particularly yours as you will be requested to vacate for breach of this one - your booking is made for the number of people specified at the time of booking...so please no additional guests.
Whilst children are welcome - please remember they are fully your responsibility at all times, this is a traditional Lamu house, the stairs are steep the terrace railings are low - we accept no responsibility for any accidents. Please also remember that this is our part-time home there are things within reach we would prefer are not broken, if they are you will be charged. House staff are not a child care facility - sorry to come down strongly on this one. However if you do indeed want reliable part-time daycare or baby sitting if you advise in advance we are happy to see what we can arrange through our staff - payment would be direct to them.
We never had to do this as all guests have treated the place with care. However if you do break anything significant you will be charged.
Accidents on the property
We advise you we take no responsibilty or accept no liability for any accidents that occur on the premises. This is a traditional Lamu house with steep stairs and low terrace railings. Note terraces and steps can become slippery in times of rain.
