Naboisho Camp is situated in a 50,000 acre conservancy bordering the Masai Mara Game Reserve to the north and the Olare Orok Conservancy ("OOC") to the east. With just 8 tents this new camp offers guests the chance to explore this diverse wilderness in a more intimate way. Unfettered by park regulations the range of activities are amongst the best in the region. The experience is based out of a camp that offers spacious traditional tents that include comfortable beds and a tented safari bathroom that includes a flush toilet, a sink and a safari shower. Using Rekero chefs and guides this is an experience that unlocks a fresh and exciting region in the care of the Rekero team who have become known for expertise in this area.
Naboisho is about harmony. About striking a balance between wilderness, wildlife and people. This approach is working: the conservancy has the largest density of lions per square kilometre of anywhere in the Serengeti Mara eco-system, and it also has very high densities of other key species including cheetah, elephant and giraffe. Your stay contributes to community development while simultaneously safeguarding wildlife.
On the eastern flank of the great Masai Mara eco system this 50,000 acre conservancy provides a new level of conservation to the region.
Based on a shared philosophy between Rekero and Asilia, together we have embarked on a mission to play an active role in protecting the conservancy while at the same time delivering a tourism experience unlike any other. Naboisho Camp is the result of that collective vision and through it Asilia is able to offer guests the chance to experience this prime wilderness on their own terms.
The private concession of Naboisho conservancy by its nature allows for a wide range of great activities to be carried out. The range of options is very much dictated by this wilderness and we seek to explore it in a deep but sensitive manner.
NABOISHO, WHICH IN MASAI MEANS “coming together”, is a community driven initiative to create a wildlife conservation and tourism area that supports the livelihoods of the landowners and surrounding communities. Naboisho Camp is situated in the Naboisho Conservancy (a 50,000 acre area) that lies to the far east of the Mara/Serengeti Ecosystem.
In the very heart of the game rich area is the small Naboisho Camp from where guests are perfectly positioned to explore the many wilderness aspects which increasingly define this conservancy as one of the very best for activities and conservation in the entire eco-system.
This exclusive tented camp is located in one of the most unspoilt and game rich areas in Kenya and offers a wide range of activities, such as: Game Drives, Walking Safaris, Night Drives, Off-Roading, Cultural Tourism and Fly Camping. The eight spacious tents have been designed combining the traditional bush style with a fresh modern feel focusing on attention to detail. High levels of personalised service, along with a team that have worked together for many years, create a warm and friendly atmosphere in this camp.
